About Me.

With 20 years of experience in design, I specialise in design theory and strategy, focusing on how to embed these practices within organisations to foster problem framing, curiosity, and human-centredness. My work spans systems thinking, design thinking, human-centred design, behavioural science, communication, and change, with a consistent emphasis on aligning solutions to both user and organisational needs.

I collaborate with organisations to align design initiatives with evolving ethical standards, systems thinking, and long-term sustainability—creating value beyond traditional metrics. By offering tailored insights into service design, design operations, and human-centred design, I support teams and leaders in navigating the complexities of modern design.

I am currently doing a practice-based PhD in design ethics, examining the role of ethics within design practice. This research explores how technology can be developed and implemented more ethically, with the aim of safeguarding users, communities, and societies against potential harms from technologies such as artificial intelligence. The PhD also demonstrates my expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research, built on many years of conducting research in professional practice and now extended into academic contexts.

In addition to my professional work, I actively engage in academic and community initiatives. I volunteer as a student representative and serve on the STEM Academic Committee and the Senate. These roles allow me to advocate for student interests and contribute to the development of my peers.

I am available for presentations, panel discussions, co-authoring, and other collaborative opportunities.
